Bach Transcriptions

First concert of the series, devoted to transcription in three directions: those Bach made of other composers' works, those later composers made of Bach for keyboard, and those made today. The Chaconne closes the programme in a harpsichord version by Fernando Cordella, after Brahms.

Programme: Toccata and Fugue in D minor BWV 565; Adagio from the Concerto in D minor BWV 974, after Alessandro Marcello; Air from the Orchestral Suite No. 3 BWV 1068; Prelude from the Cello Suite No. 1 BWV 1007; Chaconne from the Violin Partita No. 2 BWV 1004.
