A selection of arias, chorales and sinfonias for Easter, interspersed with commentary by Professor Ronel Alberti da Rosa, and with solo pieces for harpsichord and cello. Recorded at Igreja Universitária Cristo Mestre, Porto Alegre.
Programme: Sinfonia and chorale Wir essen und leben wohl, from Cantata BWV 4; Alleluia from the motet Lobet den Herrn BWV 230; Prelude from the Cello Suite No. 2 BWV 1008; Erbarme dich, mein Gott, from the St Matthew Passion BWV 244; Es ist vollbracht, from the St John Passion BWV 245; Aria from the Goldberg Variations BWV 988.
